The Liberty Advantage: Why Industry Leaders Choose Us
Choosing a cleanroom partner requires a collaborator who understands contamination control and the complex regulatory landscape. Liberty Industries distinguishes itself through technical depth, domestic manufacturing control, and the ability to provide specialized equipment for unique facility challenges. Our cleanroom specialists apply decades of experience to ensure every installation meets the highest industry benchmarks.
Technical Expertise
Our engineering team works with ISO 14644-1 classifications for cleanroom environments and has experience meeting different contamination control requirements using a strong understanding of airflow dynamics, particulate allowances, and filtration efficiency. Alongside ISO standards, we maintain expertise in Federal Standard 209E legacy systems, which allows us to assist clients who are transitioning older facilities into modern compliance frameworks.
Our specialists also navigate industry-specific regulations such as USP 797 and USP 800 standards. We apply this insight to every stage of a project to make sure that every piece of equipment functions as a critical component of the client’s contamination control strategy and maintains ISO compliance.
Made in America
Made in USA cleanroom equipment represents more than just a geographic origin; it signifies a commitment to high material standards and rigorous oversight. Liberty Industries operates domestic facilities where engineering, fabrication, and quality control occur under our roof, which eliminates the risks associated with extended global supply chains. We maintain direct control over our material sourcing and production schedules.
American manufacturing also provides our clients with direct access to the engineers who design their systems. That means you work with the people who actually build the equipment, fostering accountability and allowing for faster technical support when specific needs arise.
Custom Engineering
We design systems for non-standard room dimensions, unique material requirements, and complex integrated HVAC considerations. Our engineers do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to contamination control. This is why service and custom engineering are at the heart of our service model.
For instance, we can engineer custom air showers for aerospace cleanrooms that have specific particle reduction targets for oversized components. We can also develop modular wall systems for biotech facilities that need to expand their footprint without halting existing operations. In the pharmaceutical sector, we can deliver specialty flooring systems for packaging areas that withstand aggressive sterilization protocols. Our ability to adapt core technology to specific site constraints sets us apart from high-volume suppliers. Through custom cleanroom engineering, we solve the problems that standard equipment cannot address.
Decades of Excellence: A Brief History
Founded in 1953 by John Nappi, Sr. our company began by manufacturing industrial matting products, providing tooling and machinery to customers throughout Connecticut. With the advent of cleanrooms shortly after, the company moved to provide contamination control solutions for a range of cleanroom applications.
In the 1960s, Liberty Industries developed the Tacky Mat®, an adhesive mat designed to capture contaminants from footwear and cart wheels. The company continued to develop useful and practical products throughout the 1960s, including air showers, shoe brush cleaners, and laminar flow devices. After John J. Nappi, Jr. acquired the business in the early 1970s, the company expanded to offer complete cleanroom furniture, modular construction components, and sophisticated air filtration systems, along with formal third-party testing protocols. By partnering with independent laboratories, Liberty Industries provided clients with objective validation of particle capture efficiency and material cleanliness in our products.
John J. Nappi, Jr.’s son, Giovanni J. Nappi III. Giovanni later founded Liberty Coatings in 2006, a subsidiary of Liberty Industries Inc. that provides Cerakote® finishes to industry-leading automotive, firearms, and industrial coating companies. The coatings division has since contributed to the range of diversity in our customer base. Now, our company continues to push the boundaries of the industry, obtaining the latest manufacturing technology and continually developing new products and processes.
Our Core Capabilities
Our catalog provides a comprehensive range of equipment designed to support the different aspects of cleanroom operation. Our offerings are categorized into several core functional areas to help clients build a cohesive contamination control ecosystem, and each product reflects our dedication to producing high-quality Made in USA cleanroom equipment:
Entrance Systems
This category includes Tacky Mats®, air showers, and pass-through chambers. These systems serve as the first line of defense to prevent particle introduction from personnel and materials.
Modular Construction
We provide wall panels, ceiling grids, and flooring systems. These components offer the flexibility to reconfigure a space as production needs change.
Furniture and Workstations
Our stainless steel tables, laminar flow benches, and material handling equipment are built for durability. We use materials that withstand frequent cleaning with harsh chemicals without shedding particles.
Consumables
We supply cleanroom-grade wipers, garments, and gloves. Every item meets specific cleanliness classifications to prevent becoming a source of contamination.
Air Filtration
We manufacture HEPA and ULPA filter systems, fan filter units (FFUs), and other air handling equipment. These systems provide the constant flow of purified air necessary to maintain ongoing compliance.
In addition to our physical products, we offer professional cleanroom construction and engineering services. Our team evaluates existing environments to identify hidden contamination risks and then recommends a combination of catalog equipment and custom options that align with your operational requirements. This approach to custom cleanroom engineering ensures that every facility is optimized for its specific application. You can view our full range of solutions in the all-categories catalog.
